The Family Generation | 1.2

Welcome back to another chapter of The Family Generation. I’m thoroughly enjoying playing this family and taking it slowly. Here’s a quick recap from the first chapter: Mother began working in the Entertainment career and is slowly rising through the ranks. She moved in her dear friend Ishmael Lilly, who just so happened to be an alien! He is also in the Entertainment career track. Now, on with the show!

With the extra money that Ishmael brought in, I decided it was time to give them a reasonable kitchen. The house is slowly expanding and they’re not hurting too much for money, which is nice.

Since Ishmael wants to be a Joke Star, he’s commandeering everyone that walks past so he can tell them a joke.

‘This isn’t a very funny joke…’

He has horrible mood swings thanks to his insanity. No one makes sad faces when they’re writing jokes!

Mother is extremely happy to have an actual kitchen with a decent fridge and a stove.

‘An actual counter! Now I can really cook!’

It’s incredibly adorable to see the two of them sitting together to eat.

Even though Ishmael wants to be a comedian more than a musician, for the beginning of his career he needs to learn something, so we picked guitar.

‘Yeah, this sounds alright.’

Must be his alien hearing because I can’t stand it!

Mother has now reached a high enough level in her career that she has branched out into being a proper musician, which means a piano!

She even got a nifty award that we plonked in the kitchen.

Unfortunately, not a lot goes on around the house except this, constantly skilling for promotions. I’ve decided that they both need to be level 5 before any babies. Mother is well past that and Ishmael is getting there. They are still just friends though – best friends, with maxed out green relationship bar, but still friends.

‘Urg, sitting at that piano for eight hours has killed me!’

‘Hmph, all work and no play.’

‘Why don’t we both take the day off tomorrow?’

‘Sounds great!’

*The Next Day*

‘Here, Mother. I got this for you to say thank you for everything you do around here.’

‘Aww! You didn’t need to do that, Ishmael.’

It’s about damn time! Such a sweet moment because Ishmael actually rolled the wish for this! Mother has a slightly different one… that involves them and a bed…

‘Oh my, I had no idea he felt that way.’

To celebrate their first kiss, they went off to the bar on a date. Look at how happy Mother is!

‘There’s something strange about you, Ishmael. You’re glowing!’

‘I’m just so happy to be here with you, my dear.’

Ahh, the old distraction. Works every time.

‘So… uh, this is the real me.’

Ishmael waited until they got back from the bar to reveal himself. It’s sweet really, not wanting to deceive Mother.

‘You know what?’

‘I don’t care what you look like.’

Such cuties!
